Have you ever worn an outfit and felt it wasn’t right? Or have you ever looked at an outfit and just felt and saw that it didn’t look right? It’s a normal feeling that we’ve all struggled with. Thankfully, there are styling philosophies that can help with precisely that.
Let’s delve deeper into the philosophies behind styling!
Quality
When you pay and fit, you do it for quality. If you want a good quality watch, for example, you can spend and get one straight from the Seiko boutique! If you buy something that is not good, you’ll get what you paid for. Super cheap clothes can feel like a scam. However, you might end up shopping at places like Zara, H&M and Nordstrom, but the items there are exclusively for trendy ones that might go out of style in a few seasons. However, you should invest in something that can survive seasons from now. Not everyone can afford to splurge on a blouse, but if you buy better quality clothes, they can last you years, and to get some of them, you need to put in the money.
Comfort
Clothes should also be about confidence and, most of all, one’s comfort. Clothes should allow you to move and feel great. Dieting culture has dramatically impacted our self-esteem, especially for those on the midsize and larger sizing spectrum. Regardless of size, you should aim for comfort and allow yourself to move without restriction.
Although comfort is essential, you must also look good and wear flattering clothes. Sure, those sweatpants are soft, but frumpy isn’t stylish. Style is also about flattering your features, too!
The Seasons
Warm and fresh are just words you can use to depict the season-complementary colours. During fall, people like wearing fall’s rich and earthy colours. With spring, the same principle works. In a place with all four (4) seasons, it can be fun to play with. However, with colour analysis as a trend, more and more are discovering their best personal colours. Working out by wearing specific colours that flatter them and work with the current season is even more doable.
Dress For Your Shape
Know your features. What’s the best part of your body? You should focus on it more. Stick to the silhouettes that flatter you the most. For example, people say my waist is tiny. I look like that because I have a short torso, a small chest, big hips, and more significant tips. To emphasize my waist, I wear a flare dress. You will not see me rocking bodycon. Highlight your best body features with the right clothes!
Fit
Lastly, it’s also about whether it fits you. When clothes don’t fit right, you can look uncomfortable. Make sure to buy things in the correct size. Feel free to buy it, but remember to get it tailored!
Wrapping Up
When it comes to styling, comfort and flattering-ness of the fabric are some factors you need to consider. Looking good is about making yourself feel comfortable and confident. Overall, you need to be able to invest money into suitable pieces.
